About WCUA and our Mission
The mission of the West Central Uphill Alliance (WCUA) is to enhance uphill and backcountry ski and snowboard access in the West Central mountains of Idaho. We hope to achieve this through:
Building the uphill/backcountry community in McCall and surrounding areas;
Working with the 3 local resorts to preserve and enhance uphill access; and
Working to enhance backcountry access for
non-motorized users in the surrounding mountains

Who is WCUA?
Bring backcountry skiers and snowboarders in the West-Central mountains together to represent our interests to the local, state, and federal recreation agencies? Yikes, that seemed like a tall task, but a few of us decided to take the lead. Ultimately, we hope that this group truly belongs to our entire community of skiers and snowboarders that earn their turns. We also hope that others will be a part of the future of planning, organizing, and advocating.
